Tuesday,  November 13 until 11:59pm (TODAY for most reading this) is the LAST day to Order the Bengies "MARQUEE" design Tee in your choice of color! See the information Below.  These SPECIAL ORDERS have to be placed to insure delivery for the holidays.

Also, a Heads up for the Season End.  We will NOT be operating this weekend of November 16 & 17, BUT we will be Open for our last weekend of the 2007 Season, and the last of the regular operating days on Thanksgiving weekend, Friday and Saturday, November 23 & 24.

PROMOTIONAL SCREENING INVITATION OPPORTUNITY FOR THIS WEDNESDAY,  AUGUST  1st .

WEDNESDAY, August 1, Box office opens ONLY for approved guests, at 6PM, show starts at sunset (8:30PM) you cannot pay admission at any price, this is by invitation ONLY.   You must read and respond to the instructions on this email for a chance to come.

As some of you heard over the last 2 weekends, there will be a promotional screening this week at the Bengies of a new picture soon to be released.

Our Good Friends at Paramount and our VERY good friends here in Baltimore at ALLIED ADVERTISING, have authorized me to increase the pass count by 100.

So here’s the deal, if you wish to attend this special screening here at the Bengies, this WEDNESDAY, August 1,  to see this movie prior to the Friday National release, you must do the following for approval.  REMEMBER, I am only authorized for an additional 100.

I will need a count as to how many people will be attending in the vehicle.  So the TOTAL, including you. You will also need to print out the reply as proof of authorization, so bear that in mind before you respond.  YOU CANNOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL.

We are OPEN on FRIDAY, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY!!!!!

This weekend we present the W I D E - S C R E E N  Fantasy, ACTION, and Adventure of  "TRANSFORMERS" rated PG13, with an all star cast including Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Jon Voight, and Megan Fox.  Our co-feature is the drama, humor and thrills of "DISTURBIA" rated PG13, it also stars Shia LaBeouf as well as, Carrie-Anne Moss, David Morse, Sarah Roemer, Aaron Yoo.  To spoil you rotten and make it a triPPPle feature treat, for Friday and Saturday only, we brought back (by popular demand) the very funny animated treat, "SHREK The THIRD" rated PG.

This is the first week for "TRANSFORMERS" and the co-features will change for next week.

Again I remind you that the WORST POSSIBLE time to arrive starts at 40 minutes before show time.  This is when all the folks in this "I WANT IT NOW" world begin to arrive and this creates huge lines. ARRIVE EARLY, we are opening the box office 2 hours and 15minutes before the first show starts on Friday and Saturday, and 1 hour and 45 minutes before the show start on Sunday. THE CLOSER IT GETS TO SUNSET, THE LONGER THE LINE WILL BECOME, NO FOOLING, and if you have been in that line, you already know!!!

HEADS UP WARNING TO ALL PET OWNERS. It is very possible that in the VERY near future we will have to restrict pets from attending the theatre.   Most of our patrons are wonderful about bringing thiner pets and looking after them RESPONSIBLY.  There are a few who are about to ruin it for everyone.  We are close to restricting pets from coming altogether because of the few.  I am going to try this first, and I need all RESPONSIBLE pet owners to help us monitor it.  1. All pets must be on a leash. 2. "Potty" rules are as follows:  2A. DO NOT LET YOUR DOG HIKE ITS LEG AND PEE ON OUR SPEAKER POSTS. 2B. All patrons with dogs MUST carry either a pooper scooper, or plastic bags and pick up after the dog, AND dispose of the waste properly. PLEASE SEE SECURITY for areas that we will allow you to walk the dog for "curbing," unused parking spaces ARE NOT an acceptable place to walk the dog for potty purposes. 3. PETS CANNOT COME INTO THE CONCESSION STAND OR BATHROOMS!  4. Any action on a pet owner's part that is irresponsible or causes a problem for the management or other patrons will be leave without a refund.

The truth is we nearly never have problems with it, again it is the few that are about to ruin this for the many. Pet lovers and good patrons beware, if you see any irresponsibility on the part of a pet owner, please call it to our attention IMMEDIATELY.

Bengies Problems From The Weekend We Saw Spiderman

Dear GREAT Patrons of the Bengies Drive-In Theatre,

We are NOW OPEN on FRIDAY, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY!!!!!  WE DO NOT accept credit or debit cards at the box office!

Each email I remind our good patrons of this:   The >CLOSER< it gets to sunset, the L - O - N - G - E - R the line will Become! ARRIVE EARLY!!!  Last weekend, this proved out tremendously accurate, particularly on Friday night.  Either the setting sun caught regulars off guard, or they figured we were not going to be busy, but we certainly were.

Traffic backed up so badly, the police had NO CHOICE other than to move the line away from the theatre.  In short, we had to not let folks in, and "BROOM" them past the theatre, to end the almost 2 mile traffic back up.  This meant a lot of cheesed off patrons, the entire neighborhood was upset, and we (the Bengies) bore all of the blame.

These back-ups are caused by folks arriving ALL AT THE SAME TIME, and what's worse, many folks trying to "cheat" by jumping around the line in the left lane, and trying to CUT IN somewhere closer to the theatre.  Then this creates a traffic nightmare, because the neighborhood cannot get past the line by using the left lane!  Now 2 lanes are blocked instead of one, and the end result is WE ALL LOSE.

If you are in the right lane waiting patiently, and you see someone "cut in" from the left lane, please note it and when you get close enough to us to tell us, let us know.  If we can confirm this with other cars around you, we will deny admission to the party offending.  I did so personally on Saturday night, when I saw MANY folks doing this myself.  If it is happening too far out of our sight, please let us know.

IMPORTANT! there was an old trick that most folks already know will not work anymore. I mention it now to give fair warning. They would "jump" around the line entirely, go past the theatre, and then try to get in by approaching us from the other direction.  WHEN TRAFFIC GETS THAT BACKED UP, WE ARE NOW REQUIRED TO STOP THAT OPPORTUNITY FROM HAPPENING.  In short, Baltimore County Police (as many found out) WILL stop the cheaters from entering in either direction.  At the point where the traffic is backing up, WE ARE NOT PERMITTED to allow folks to enter from the western approach into the theatre.  YOU CANNOT TURN left INTO THE DRIVE-IN, ONCE THE TRAFFIC IS BACKED UP.

Please, PLEASE, PLEASE, be understanding that we need to be very courteous to the neighborhood and businesses on Eastern Blvd.  If you are in the right lane and someone wants to turn into a community or business on that side of the road, let them through.  It is not ALWAYS about someone wanting to jump in front of you, some folks really need to use the left lane to get around traffic to then turn right into a community, street of business.

Your BEST way out of any of this,  please read this, this and remember this always: The >CLOSER< it gets to sunset, the L - O - N - G - E - R the line will Become! ARRIVE EARLY!!!  We did not have the problem Saturday night, because I think the word went out and most folks arrived early, but even at that, the roadway was PACKED for by one hour before showtime.

ANY customers TRYING to join the line while others from their party are elsewhere, (like McDonald's or rite aid) will be denied entry!  Let me make it clear, ALL persons in your party MUST be in the vehicle, BEFORE you get onto the entrance road.  Our roadway is CLEARLY MARKED with signage that you can't miss, "DO NOT PICK UP OR DISCHARGE PASSENGERS ON THE ROADWAY"  AND "STAY IN YOUR VEHICLE"   If you have someone who wants to jump out and go elsewhere while you are waiting in line, TAKE THE CAR WITH YOU. ALL persons in your party MUST be in the vehicle, BEFORE you get onto the entrance road. 

Likewise you cannotshow up early, park your car, leave your vehicle and come back when when you feel like it.  It is our right, our privlege and our obligation to open the box office prior to the published box office opening time.  There is NO PARKING on the roadway PERIOD.
